Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Installation & Maintenance: Lead the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair/replacement of complex commercial electrical systems in strict accordance with specifications and codes.

  • Project Collaboration & Efficiency: Work closely with team members to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient completion of commercial electrical projects.

  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Demonstrate expert proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and correcting malfunctions in commercial electrical systems using advanced tools and testing equipment.

  • Quality & Code Assurance: Ensure all electrical work adheres to stringent regulatory standards, local/national electrical codes, safety protocols, and company service guidelines.

  • Cost Calculation & Documentation: Accurately calculate service costs using a flat-rate price book, handle money collection, and maintain meticulous records of work performed, parts used, time spent, and any faults or deficiencies.

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Proficiently read and interpret complex electrical blueprints to determine the precise location, size, capacity, and type of components required for job completion.

  • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, project managers, dispatch, and commercial clients, providing detailed reports as required.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and collaborate effectively with other team members, including apprentices and technicians, to achieve project goals and foster their development.

  • Safety Adherence: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, actively participate in safety training, and contribute to a robust safety-conscious culture within the team.

What We're Looking For:

  • Electrical Expertise: A minimum of 2-3 years of related work experience with hands-on training and work in the electrical trade is preferred (more for a lead role is typically expected).

  • Formal Electrical Training: Must be enrolled in or have completed required trade school as dictated by state apprentice regulations.

  • Code Mastery: Strong familiarity with local and national electrical codes and regulations.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively address complex electrical issues in the field.

  • Driving & Authorization: Must possess a valid driver's license and be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical demands typical of electrical work, including working indoors/outdoors in various climates (very cold to very hot/humid), and handling moderate to loud noise levels.

  • Availability: Flexibility for evening, early morning, weekend, and/or holiday hours periodically.

  • Continuous Learner: A commitment to pursuing ongoing education and training to continuously enhance skills and stay updated on industry developments.
