Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Commercial Management Lead for North America to oversee contract administration, risk management, and project accounting on complex design and construction programs.

You will guide a multi-disciplinary team, ensure compliance with prime and subcontracts, manage change orders, monitor risk, and support project controls from planning through close-out. Travel up to 50% may be required and a strong ownership mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a professional, architecture, engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Leadership roles require professional registration and related technical experience.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Ability to cooperate with business and project leadership across functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring compliance with contract documents and performance.
• Issuing subcontracts and processing contract change orders.
• Change management negotiation and lifecycle implementation.
• Assisting in claims resolution and risk register management.
• Support project accounting, cost model review, and invoicing.
• Coordinate with project controls on schedule issues and design risks.
