Restaurant Service Technician

Job summary

MPE Services is seeking an experienced Restaurant Service Technician to join our installation and repair team. You will diagnose and service commercial cooking equipment, including convection ovens, fryers, grills, and coolers, while providing clear quotes and on-call support.

This full-time role offers the chance to work from home dispatch and requires strong HVAC/refrigeration knowledge, hands-on skills, and the ability to work independently on flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• EPA certification required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience and/or training in commercial cooking and refrigeration equipment (fryers, grills, coolers, ice machines).
• Driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds frequently.
• Able to read and interpret price quotes and service orders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose commercial cooking equipment performance through observation, testing, and setup.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for troubleshooting and repair.
• Quote customer prices and communicate service charges clearly.
• Operate gauges, meters, and tools to service units.
• Lift, carry, and position components during service.
• Provide written and verbal instructions.
• Operate a commercial vehicle and trailer.
• Work flexible hours including on-call nights and weekends.
• Document work completed and maintain records.
