Job summary

Join our team at General Parts, where you'll play a crucial role as a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician. We encourage those who have a background in commercial kitchen appliance repair, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical or commercial building maintenance to apply. An EPA or CFESA Certification is a plus!

Pay: Varying from $20-40 hourly based on level of experience

Responsibilities:

• Utilize troubleshooting skills to install, repair, and maintain commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Collaborate with customers to provide effective service solutions for their equipment, including gas, electric, and steam systems.
• Order and install replacement parts in customer equipment, coordinating with the parts department.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call duties.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards.
• Two years of relevant experience, education, or military experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including electronics, steam, gas, and refrigeration.
• Refrigeration technicians must be EPA certified.
• CFESA Certification is a plus but not required.
• Must be highly safety‑conscious.
• Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying (up to 75 pounds).
• Requires frequent walking, standing, driving, sitting, squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, and turning.
• Must be able to use hands for fine manipulation of hand tools.
