Job summary

SAM Service, Inc. is seeking a diligent Service Technician (Hot & Cold Side) for Jacksonville, FL. This in-person role starts from a home base with a company vehicle and port-to-port pay, ensuring you are paid from engine start with no unpaid travel time.

You will troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment while using company iPad for orders and documentation; OT and on-call rotations apply, with office support handling quotes and billing.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair is required.
• Refrigeration/HVAC experience and EPA certification are preferred but not required.
• Strong technical and electrical skills, able to read wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Comfort with tablets, smartphones and other tech tools.
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random testing.
• Curious mind and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Start each day from home in a fully equipped company vehicle.
• Get paid from the moment you start your engine.
• Use a company-provided iPad to manage work orders and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and manufacturer support.
• Focus on service; quotes, parts, and billing handled by the office team.
