Job summary

Tech24 is seeking a Commercial Hot & Cold Technician in Indianapolis to diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment. You will drive a company vehicle, document service calls, and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience, EPA Universal Certification preferred, and the ability to travel within the service area.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 3+ years of commercial hot-side and/or refrigeration service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Experience mentoring and supporting less experienced technicians.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across commercial foodservice and refrigeration equipment.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage service calls with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency for service documentation and communication.
• Must possess standard industry hand tools.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays as part of an on-call rotation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, etc.)
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, ice machines, etc.)
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe efficient equipment operations
• Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system
• Clearly communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customers
• Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
• Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies
• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities
