Job summary

CT Mechanical is seeking a Commercial Journeyman Plumber to join our Gainesville team. In this position, you will install plumbing systems, bring existing systems into compliance with current code requirements, and alter/install plumbing systems in medium and large facilities.

You will work with Foremen and Superintendents to understand jobsite-specific requirements and complete project goals safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Journeyman license required for position; Florida-issued Journeyman License preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in commercial plumbing preferred.
• Familiarity with Florida Plumbing Code and UF plumbing specifications (bonus).
• OT available for weekends, shutdowns, and multi-project mobilizations.
• Current NFPA 99 certification (can be obtained with us, paid on the clock).
• Formal training program or apprenticeship completed.

Responsibilities

• See projects through all construction stages from rough-in to commissioning.
• Layout and complete daily, weekly, and monthly project goals as a team.
• Communicate with Foremen and Superintendents to meet jobsite requirements.
• Install new plumbing systems with craftsmanship and safety.
• Assist in training Apprentices and in material procurement and laydown.
• Operate safely and efficiently on assigned projects.
