Job summary

Precision Plumbing in Matthews, NC is seeking a Commercial Journeyman Plumber to install, test, and maintain commercial plumbing systems in accordance with IPC codes and project specs.

You will read blueprints, coordinate with foremen and other trades, lead and mentor apprentices, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time project progress on high-profile jobs. The firm emphasizes training, growth, and a rewarding plumbing career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 4 years of commercial plumbing experience required.
• Driver’s License is required.
• Must be able to lift or carry 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and pressure test piping systems, fittings, valves, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with IPC and project specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and construction documents to determine layouts.
• Locate, measure, and mark positions for pipe connections, fixtures, and supports.
• Install and connect plumbing fixtures and equipment including sinks, lavatories, and water heaters.
• Ensure proper installation and code compliance of pipe supports and system components.
• Train, mentor, and provide guidance to apprentices and helpers on-site.
