Job summary

Officeworks Inc. is seeking an Interior/Design Project Coordinator to support space planning, site verification, and development of detailed plans.

You will collaborate with sales, customer service, and project management to ensure accurate plans reach customers with high quality implementation. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field and 1+ year of experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or similar or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience in a similar role.
• Teknion product knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• MS Office proficiency.
• Proficient in CAD: SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe products.

Responsibilities

• Space planning and any necessary fit plan.
• Coordinate all phases of the design process with the salesperson and customers.
• Work with customers to develop final approved plan.
• Create and deliver client presentations.
• Develop drawings, calculations, cost estimates and specifications.
• Review sites and conduct field measurements as needed.
• Prepare installation drawings and manage revisions.

Job description

Provides design services to customers, including site/inventory verification (as needed), programming, typical development, shop drawings & specifications. Works closely with sales, customer service & project management as well as customers, to ensure accurate plans and specifications reach the customers satisfaction and highest quality of implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Space planning and any necessary fit plan
• Coordinate all phases of the design process with the salesperson and custome
• Work with customers to develop final approved plan
• Create and deliver client presentation
• Development tasks, including drawings, calculations, cost estimates and specification
• Reviews site; conducts field measurements as neede
• Code and regulation complianc
• Prepare installation drawing
• Manages changes and revision
• Uploads current working version of plan with dimensions to PlanGrid for site surveyo
• Create fabric / finish boards upon reques
• Maintains detailed and extensive project documentation, including records of all key decisions, phone conversations, approvals & sign offs and notes from all project meetings
• Communicates regularly with PM and Director on project status, issues & concerns in regards to overall design or schedule
• Product inventories as neede

• Assist with the creation of final proposal

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or similar or equivalent experience
• 1+ year of experience in a similar rol
• Teknion product knowledge a plu
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English both written and verba
• MS Office Environment proficien
• Proficient in CET, Sketch up, AutoCAD, Adob
• Understands the importance of deadlines and the ability to meet them
