Job summary

Officeworks Inc. provides design services including site verification, development, shop drawings and specifications. The team works closely with sales, customer service and project management to ensure plans meet customer expectations and high quality implementation.

Responsibilities include space planning, coordinating design phases, creating client presentations and preparing installation drawings while maintaining thorough project documentation and timely communication with PM and Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a design field or related experience required.
• 1+ year of experience in a similar role.
• Engaging communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency with CET, SketchUp, AutoCAD and Adobe products.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Space planning and fit plan development as needed.
• Coordinate design phases with salesperson and customers.
• Develop final approved plans with customers.
• Create and deliver client presentations.
• Produce drawings, calculations, cost estimates and specifications.
• Take site measurements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare installation drawings and manage revisions.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate status updates.

Job description

Provides design services to customers, including site/inventory verification (as needed), programming, typical development, shop drawings & specifications. Works closely with sales, customer service & project management as well as customers, to ensure accurate plans and specifications reach the customers satisfaction and highest quality of implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Space planning and any necessary fit plan
• Coordinate all phases of the design process with the salesperson and custome
• Work with customers to develop final approved plan
• Create and deliver client presentation
• Development tasks, including drawings, calculations, cost estimates and specification
• Reviews site; conducts field measurements as neede
• Code and regulation complianc
• Prepare installation drawing
• Manages changes and revision
• Uploads current working version of plan with dimensions to PlanGrid for site surveyo
• Create fabric / finish boards upon reques
• Maintains detailed and extensive project documentation, including records of all key decisions, phone conversations, approvals & sign offs and notes from all project meetings
• Communicates regularly with PM and Director on project status, issues & concerns in regards to overall design or schedule
• Product inventories as neede
• Ancillary product researc
• Assist with the creation of final proposal
• Prompt, reliable and regular attendanc

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or similar or equivalent experienc
• 1+ year of experience in a similar rol
• Teknion product knowledge a plu
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English both written and verba
• MS Office Environment proficien
• Proficient in CET, Sketch up, AutoCAD, Adob
• Understands the importance of deadlines and the ability to meet them

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
