Job summary

Officeworks Inc. provides design services to customers, including space planning, site verification, drawings, and specifications. You will work with sales, customer service, and project management to ensure accurate plans reach customer satisfaction and quality implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or similar or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience in a similar role.
• Teknion product knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English both written and verbal.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Proficient in CET, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe.
• Understands deadlines and ability to meet them.

Responsibilities

• Space planning and any necessary fit plan.
• Coordinate all phases of the design process with the salesperson and customer.
• Develop final approved plan with customers.
• Create and deliver client presentations.
• Develop drawings, calculations, cost estimates and specifications.
• Conduct site visits and take field measurements as needed.
• Ensure code and regulation compliance.
• Prepare installation drawings.
• Manage changes and revisions.
• Upload working version of plan with dimensions to PlanGrid for site survey.
• Create fabric/finishes boards on request.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and meeting notes.
• Communicate status, issues and concerns to PM and Director.

Job description

Provides design services to customers, including site/inventory verification (as needed), programming, typical development, shop drawings & specifications. Works closely with sales, customer service & project management as well as customers, to ensure accurate plans and specifications reach the customers satisfaction and highest quality of implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Space planning and any necessary fit plan
• Coordinate all phases of the design process with the salesperson and custome
• Work with customers to develop final approved plan
• Create and deliver client presentation
• Development tasks, including drawings, calculations, cost estimates and specification
• Reviews site; conducts field measurements as neede
• Code and regulation complianc
• Prepare installation drawing
• Manages changes and revision
• Uploads current working version of plan with dimensions to PlanGrid for site surveyo
• Create fabric / finish boards upon reques
• Maintains detailed and extensive project documentation, including records of all key decisions, phone conversations, approvals & sign offs and notes from all project meetings
• Communicates regularly with PM and Director on project status, issues & concerns in regards to overall design or schedule
• Product inventories as neede

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or similar or equivalent experience
• 1+ year of experience in a similar rol

• MS Office Environment proficien
• Proficient in CET, Sketch up, AutoCAD, Adob
• Understands the importance of deadlines and the ability to meet them
