Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in New Stanton, PA is seeking a Commercial Integration Engineer to develop moderately complex offers for the Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB). You will collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Fulfillment to craft technically sound and commercially viable proposals.

You will report to the Manager of Offer Development and contribute to pricing, cost strategies, and schedule management while helping reduce quote turnaround time.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or business related field required.
• 2+ years of experience in engineering, business, or operations with increasing progression and complexity.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

• Develop moderately challenging offers for the Westinghouse Parts Business including authoring: Technical offers, succinct product descriptions, documenting assumptions and limitations, and pricing strategies.
• Develop and align cost strategies with supply chain and WPB Fulfillment.
• Prioritize and communicate schedule of offers to be issued; assist in process improvements to reduce quote turnaround time; analyze offers for pricing recommendations.

About the role:

As a Commercial Integration Engineer, you will develop moderately complex commercial offers for the Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB). You will work closely with the Product Management team to help develop parts offerings; the sales team developing the offers and prioritizing according; and the fulfillment team working with key resources. Additionally, you will work closely with the BU, GOS, account teams, supply chain, legal, and marketing to ensure commercial offerings are positioned aggressively enough to win the award yet manage commercial risk, to the greatest extent possible.

You will report to the Manager of Offer Development and will be based out of our New Stanton, PA location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop moderately challenging offers for the Westinghouse Parts Business including authoring:

  • Technical offers to meet our clients' requirements with technical and commercial content
  • Succinct description of product being offered
  • Documenting key assumptions and limitations
  • Creative solutions to problems during offer development to meet deadlines
  • Minimizing, to the greatest extent possible, commercial risk on all offerings
  • Interpret customer requirements to ensure our offer meets the customer's needs
  • Develop and align cost and lead time strategies with supply chain and WPB Fulfillment organizations
  • Develop and align on price strategies with WPB Sales and Product Management organizations and incorporating feedback into future offers to increase our win rate
  • Assist in process improvement projects to reduce the quote turnaround time, evaluate standard pricing levels, and other key initiatives
  • Develop knowledge to analyze offers to be able to make informed pricing recommendations for core and new business opportunities
• Develop and align cost strategies with supply chain and WPB Fulfillment organizations
• Develop and align on price strategies with WPB Sales and Product Management organizations and incorporating feedback into future offers to increase our win rate

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200.00 to $86,500.00 per year.
