Westinghouse Electric Company in New Stanton, PA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Electrical Products Group. The role covers design, manufacturing, testing and delivery of electrical products, reporting to the Manager, Product Engineering in a hybrid setting.

The position emphasizes collaboration across engineering, manufacturing and service teams, with responsibilities from drawings to installation and project execution at our New Stanton facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 0+ years of experience, including internship or co-op, is acceptable.
• General knowledge of electrical distribution systems and equipment, including LV/MV switchgear, breakers, motors, and MCCs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in teams or independently and articulate technical challenges and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, manufacture, install, troubleshoot, and manage projects for electrical equipment and distribution systems, including legacy electro-mechanical gear.
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and purchase requisitions for electrical products.
• Determine critical equipment characteristics to support nuclear equipment qualification and commercial dedication.
• Develop engineered solutions to address obsolescence issues for multiple electrical products.
• Provide technical engineering support to customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and shop operations.

About the role:

As an Electrical Engineer you will support the Westinghouse Parts Business. The Parts Business works on projects to bolster plant safety and reliability by providing the electrical, instrumentation and control (I&C), and mechanical products and services that our customers require. You will be within the Electrical Products Group and supports design, manufacturing, testing, and delivery of high-quality electrical products.

You will report to the Manager, Product Engineering and be located at our New Stanton, PA facility. This is a hybrid role based in New Stanton.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will become part of our team responsible for the design, manufacturing, installation, troubleshooting, and project execution of electrical equipment and electrical distribution systems including legacy electro-mechanical equipment.
• Preparation and review of drawings, specifications, and purchase requisitions for electrical products.
• Determine critical equipment characteristics to support nuclear equipment qualification and commercial grade dedication, including development of commercial dedication instructions.
• Develop Engineered solutions to address obsolescence issues for multiple electrical products.
• Provide technical engineering support to customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and shop operations for a variety of products.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.

0+ years of experience which can be from an internship or cooperative education program.

General knowledge of electrical distribution systems and equipment, including Low/Medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motors, motor-generator sets, and motor control centers, is desired.

Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills

Can effectively work in both a team setting and as an individual

The ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and recommended solutions.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000.
