Job summary

Rue Insurance is seeking a Select Commercial Inside Sales and Marketing Specialist to act as a trusted advisor between clients and insurance carriers. The role focuses on building and maintaining client relationships, providing advisory support to new business prospects, and presenting insurance options to clients and Rue client service teams.

The position requires licensing and a proactive, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Property, Casualty, Life, and Health Insurance Licenses
• Demonstrated proficiency handling small commercial insurance accounts
• Energetic, motivated and dedicated team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor, and positive attitude
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with agency management software

Responsibilities

• Develop prospecting strategies to increase opportunities for new business.
• Generate new business-to-business sales for accounts generating less than 25K account size premium by proactively contacting prospects to sell insurance products and services through referrals and cold calling.
• Handle incoming prospect calls, walk ins and website leads for new business.
• Collect prospect information and perform research to determine the appropriate products and services to offer.
• Review customers current insurance program and recommend changes or improvements.
• Support the Rue Be Ready model by proactively seeking to discover client operational or exposure-based risk improvement opportunities, making appropriate risk control or insurance coverage recommendations to address identified risks, and following through to resolution.
• Build and maintain client relationships and provide a consultative approach to new business account activity.
• Reach or exceed annual sales targets/goals.
