Lawley Insurance in Buffalo, NY is seeking an insurance professional to produce and issue binders, certificates, policies, and changes within tight timelines. You will also handle renewal quotes and cancellations while maintaining reliable attendance and teamwork.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in a similar role, a Property & Casualty license or plan to obtain within 90 days, strong Word/Excel skills, and a customer-focused, proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a similar role; commercial experience preferred.
• Property & Casualty License or willingness to pursue within 90 days.
• Knowledge of insurance products, documents and usages.
• Word and Excel skills are a must; EPIC and carrier website experience preferred.
• Ability to work well independently and on a team.
• Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Open to continuing education; college degree preferred.
• Positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion to make customers and coworkers feel important and valued.
• Capability to work quickly and efficiently; prioritization.
• Precise communication skills, even under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Produce summaries, ordering and issuing binders, certificates, policies, policy changes, premium/loss summaries, proposals, complete coverage reviews and other insurance documents within designated timelines.
• Obtain non-marketed renewal quotes from existing carriers, completing renewal processes and handle non-renewal and cancellations for cause, validate audits.
• Maintains consistent and dependable attendance, availability, and punctuality as required to effectively perform the essential functions of the position.
• Identify cross sell and up sell opportunities as appropriate.
• Expand and grow in your role when supporting miscellaneous duties as requested.
