Job summary

Ideal Mechanical/Pieper Power seeks a skilled Commercial/Industrial Service Technician to join our growing team. The role covers small service projects, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on equipment in commercial and industrial settings in the field.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and/or electrical background, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently on site with documentation of services performed and parts used.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency with industry tools such as vacuum pump, recovery machine, voltmeter, refrigeration gauges.
• Background in mechanical and/or electrical work and safety compliance.
• Pass pre-hire requirements including background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening.
• Ability to utilize necessary software to process paperwork (iPad/Computer).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial environments.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on systems according to service schedules.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with local codes and company policies.
• Provide accurate documentation of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Communicate effectively with customers, explaining technical issues and recommended solutions.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in good working condition.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests as needed.

This role is responsible for performing small service projects, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services on a variety of equipment and systems in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and/or electrical background, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently in the field.
