Job summary

Capstone Mechanical is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician in Grand Rapids, MI, to maintain and repair HVAC/R equipment for multi-site commercial clients. You will work on RTUs up to 40 tons, split systems, and light refrigeration, with on-call rotation and detailed record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Commercial HVAC experience preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
• Willingness to obtain EPA & OSHA10 certifications (company-supported).

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial HVAC/R equipment (e.g., RTUs up to 40 tons, split systems, light refrigeration).
• Perform HVAC service repairs, quotes, installs, and maintenance for assigned customer locations.
• Participate in on call rotation.
• Log service details accurately using internal software.
• Schedules service, maintenance, and quoted work in internal software.
• Obtains part pricing, and builds quotes.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
