Job summary

Bell Brothers, part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking an experienced HVAC Commercial Service Technician to join our Des Moines team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of commercial HVAC systems, delivering reliable comfort for clients while upholding safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in commercial HVAC, EPA Universal Certification, and the ability to read schematics and service manuals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Technical training or trade school certification in HVAC preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and VAV systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections on commercial HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control issues to identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Recommend system improvements and repair options to customers in a professional, solution-oriented manner.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, local building codes, and company policies.
• Complete detailed service tickets, equipment logs, and maintenance reports accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with dispatch, supervisors, and other technicians to prioritize service calls and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide emergency on-call service as scheduled.
