Job summary

Kelso Industries' Automated Mechanical division delivers full-service HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial clients. The HVAC Service Technician role focuses on diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance across a broad range of systems, backed by modern tools and safety standards.

This full-time position involves reading wiring diagrams, troubleshooting, and coordinating with clients. Travel to multiple job sites is required, with opportunities for ongoing training and certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or technical training a plus.
• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or similar role.
• EPA 608 certification.
• Ability to read technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel between job sites.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to keep systems running at peak performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults across HVAC equipment.
• Repair or replace components including motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
• Read and apply wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Keep clients and teammates informed on service findings and next steps.
• Log service work accurately, including parts used and system condition.
• Follow all safety, code, and company compliance requirements.

About The Role

Automated Mechanical is hiring an HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This full-time role covers diagnostics, repair, and maintenance across commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to keep systems running at peak performance
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults across HVAC equipment
