Job summary

Kelso Industries is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial and residential systems. You will work on rooftop units, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps, collaborating with clients and colleagues to ensure peak performance.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, VRF proficiency, and EPA 608 certification. Local travel and a valid driver’s license are required. Kelso offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar role.
• Proficiency with VRF Systems and light commercial work.
• EPA 608 certification.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC equipment.
• Replace or repair defective components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding service findings and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and system conditions.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: Up to $42/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
