Brightwing is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Jacksonville, FL to perform field repair, maintenance, and diagnostics across a portfolio of commercial clients. The role focuses on central energy plants, hydronics, DOAS, RTUs, and applied HVAC systems.
Candidate must have 5+ years of hands-on experience, EPA Universal Certification, and a valid Florida driver's license. OSHA 10 is preferred. This is a full-time on-site position with travel to various sites as needed.
We are seeking an experienced motivated Commercial HVAC Service Technician to handle comprehensive field repair, maintenance, and diagnostics across our Jacksonville commercial client portfolio. This position focuses on critical central plant machinery and specialized applied equipment including: chillers, cooling towers, package and DOAS units - alongside standard commercial DX systems.
Perform mechanical diagnostics, component overhauls, and routine service on air and water-cooled chillers, cooling towers, and primary/secondary hydronic pump assemblies (chilled water and condenser loops).
Service, repair, and optimize DOAS equipment, concentrating on humidity control sequences, energy recovery wheels/cores, modulation valves, gas-fired/electric reheat modules, and complex refrigeration circuits.
Troubleshoot and overhaul packaged rooftop units (RTUs), commercial split systems, air handling units (AHUs), variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, and associated VFDs and dampers.
5+ years of hands-on experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment, with proven exposure to hydronics, central plants, and applied systems.
Active EPA Universal Certification required. OSHA 10 preferred.
Strong understanding of psychrometrics, refrigeration cycles, hydronic flow balance, and VFD setup.
Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean record.
