Job summary

Corvant is seeking an HVAC Superintendent to lead field operations across data centers, healthcare, manufacturing, and education facilities. You will supervise crews, coordinate installation schedules, and maintain strong communication with general contractors and trade partners.

Requirements include OSHA 30, 10+ years in HVAC, and proficiency with HVAC materials and air distribution systems. Travel to project sites is expected and safety is a core priority.

Qualifications

  • Must have hands-on experience with air duct distribution systems for commercial/industrial facilities.
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and manage HVAC installations across multiple sites.
  • Strong communication with customers, vendors, GC's, and trade partners.
  • Ability to lead teams, monitor safety, and enforce regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure OSHA compliance and Corvant Safety protocols at the work site.
  • Schedule and supervise HVAC material/equipment installation.
  • Maintain contact with General Contractors about installation dates.
  • Coordinate material/equipment needs with Purchasing.
  • Direct delivery and staging of materials to job sites.
  • Walk the site to monitor progress and safety.
  • Lead daily QC and safety meetings; document findings.
  • Manage subcontractors to meet contract requirements.
  • Stay updated on policy changes and regulations.

HVAC Superintendent is responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with customers, vendors, general contractors, internal customers, and trade partners.

The HVAC Superintendent supervises employees and maintains a safe working environment compliant with government regulatory guidelines and RMC Safety systems on multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires travel.

Requirements
Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive)
  • Ensure the work site is compliant with OSHA regulations and Corvant Safety protocols.
  • Manage and schedule installation of HVAC material and equipment.
  • Maintain consistent contact with General Contractors to be aware at all times of expected installation dates.
  • Request and coordinate HVAC material and equipment needs with the purchasing department.
  • Coordinate delivery of material and equipment to the job site.
  • Check options and equipment list to ensure material is correct.
  • Keep project status up to date to ensure timely delivery.
  • Lay out crews to install material on scheduled dates.
  • Attend and participate in GC meetings.
  • Conduct weekly inspections and safety meetings. Provide copies of signed safety forms to General Contractor and Corvant Safety team.
  • Walk the job constantly to follow up with Foreman and installers.
  • Schedule and direct quality control technician daily, communicate with technician constantly to maintain schedule.
  • Identify problems that need to be corrected.
  • Follow up on all purchase orders and/or extra work.
  • Maintain open and positive communication with Trade Partners.
  • Manage subcontractors, ensure work done meets contract and company requirements.
  • Keep up to date with all RMC Policy and Procedures, industry standards and government regulations.
  • Available via telephone after hours and on weekends for emergency and/or customer-related issues.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of air duct distribution systems, commercial and industrial. Know relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems.
  • Installation of HVAC materials, equipment, and appropriately matched systems.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other trades.
  • Must have team-building skills.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective verbal, presentation, and listening communication skills.
  • Effective negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 suite and custom accounting software.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma required.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • 10 plus years of experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
  • Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
  • Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
