Responsabilités

• Engage with DDC controls, VAV systems, and air-handling equipment.

Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. (RBI) is seeking an experienced, growth-minded Commercial HVAC Service Technician – Level 2 for our Ashland, Virginia location. In this role, you will service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment while following company safety requirements.

A minimum of three years of commercial HVAC experience is required.

What You’ll Do

• Follow all company safety requirements and procedures.
• Use service literature and technical resources to diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including:
  • Direct expansion (DX) equipment and packaged water-cooled air conditioning units up to 100 tons.
  • Water-source heat pumps and associated equipment.
  • Computer room units with self-contained humidifiers and controls.
  • Gas-fired and electric heating systems associated with commercial equipment up to 100 tons.
  • Pneumatic, electronic, and modular direct digital control (DDC) systems.
  • Air-handling equipment, duct systems, and variable air volume (VAV) systems.
  • Low-voltage temperature controls, including 24-volt and 1- to 10-volt systems.
• Perform basic maintenance on atmospheric gas-fired hot-water boilers.
• Perform general maintenance on chilled-water and hot-water piping, pumping systems, and associated equipment.

What You’ll Bring

• At least three years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Broad knowledge of larger commercial HVAC equipment.
• An understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
• A high school diploma, trade school diploma, or GED.
• A Universal Refrigerant Card and Gas Fitters Card (Type I and Universal).
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company driver qualification requirements.
• The ability to travel to job sites, including occasional overnight stays.
