Job Description

The Service Technician will work independently or as part of a team, responsible for the installation, startup, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of commercial HVACR equipment, systems, and units.

Job Duties

1. Serve existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedules, investigating complaints, conducting tests, and resolving problems.
2. Establish service by studying system requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts, completing installation, and performing acceptance tests.
3. Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements.
4. Keep personal equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
5. Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
6. Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
7. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
8. Contribute to operations and organizational goals by completing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in HVAC service work.
2. Experience working in a service vehicle for an HVAC contractor.
3. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
4. VRF experience preferred.
5. BAS/DDC Controls experience desired.
6. Own tools required.
7. Reliable with excellent oral and written communication skills.
8. Willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug test.
9. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
