Job Description

The Service Technician will work independently or as part of a team, responsible for the installation, startup, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of commercial HVACR equipment, systems, and units.

Job Duties

1. Analyze work orders, plan daily travel schedules, investigate complaints, conduct tests, and resolve problems to serve existing accounts.
2. Study system requirements, order and gather components and parts, complete installations, and perform acceptance tests to establish service.
3. Examine complaints, identify solutions, suggest improved methods and techniques, and recommend system improvements to maintain rapport with customers.
4. Operate personal equipment by following instructions, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, perform preventive maintenance, and call for repairs.
5. Complete forms, reports, logs, and records documenting service and installation actions.
6. Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
7. Participate in educational opportunities and read professional publications to update job knowledge.
8. Perform other related duties as instructed by management to accomplish organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in HVAC service work, preferably with experience in a service vehicle for an HVAC contractor.
• VRF experience is preferred.
• BAS/DDC Controls experience is desired.
• Own tools required.
• Reliable with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
