Job summary

MOHR Talent in Miami, FL is seeking multiple HVAC Service Technicians for residential and light commercial work across South Florida. This hands-on field role involves installation, service, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance with company vehicles provided.

Travel throughout South Florida; OT opportunities; EPA 608 certification preferred; 2+ years experience; valid driver's license. Competitive pay starting at $25/hour+ depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years HVAC technician experience preferred.
• Strong residential and/or light commercial HVAC experience.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC installation, service, diagnostics, and repairs.
• EPA 608 or EPA Universal certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical HVAC issues.
• Perform refrigerant handling and recovery.
• Troubleshoot compressors, motors, capacitors, thermostats, and electrical controls.
• Perform HVAC installations and system replacements.
• Service heat pumps and heating systems.
• Install and program standard and smart thermostats.
• Fabricate and install ductwork.
• Perform soldering and brazing as needed.
• Diagnose and optimize airflow and system performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Use HVAC diagnostic tools to identify system issues.
• Perform load calculations for system sizing.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and system layouts.
• Ensure work meets applicable building codes and safety standards.
• Document completed work and communicate with internal teams.

HVAC Service Technician

About the Opportunity

A well-established HVAC mechanical contractor serving South Florida is hiring multiple HVAC Service Technicians to support continued growth across residential and light commercial operations.

This is a hands-on field position for technicians who are experienced with HVAC installation, service, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Technicians will work independently and alongside a team while traveling throughout the South Florida area.

Company vehicles are provided to the majority of technicians.

What You'll Do

• Install, service, maintain, and repair HVAC systems

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical HVAC issues

• Perform refrigerant handling and recovery

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of HVAC technician experience preferred

• Strong residential and/or light commercial HVAC experience

• Hands-on experience with HVAC installation, service, diagnostics, and repairs

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Experience working with refrigerant systems

• Ability to read basic system layouts and blueprints

• EPA 608 or EPA Universal certification preferred

• Experience with smart HVAC systems is a plus

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

• Valid driver's license required

• Ability to work independently in the field

Compensation & Benefits
