Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. in Las Vegas is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to perform operations, repairs, replacements and preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

The role includes work on chillers, boilers, air handlers, and related equipment, with emphasis on safety and reliability. You will collaborate with the Dispatch Team to ensure complete, timely workloads and must adhere to OSHA Health & Safety and NFPA 70e standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience maintaining similar commercial equipment.
• Current Universal CFC certification.
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair, replace and perform preventive maintenance on commercial/industrial HVAC systems.
• Work with chillers, boilers, air handlers, fan coil units and controls.
• Familiar with kitchen/refrigeration equipment and refrigerants.
• Coordinate with Dispatch to ensure timely workload completion.
• Maintain safe work practices per OSHA and NFPA 70e standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for the operations, repairs, replacement and preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial air conditioning and heating systems.
• Must have working knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, fan coil units, water treatment equipment, controls and other building mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Technicians will be familiar with kitchen and refrigeration equipment and all refrigerants.
• Work with the Dispatch Team to ensure that the workload is accomplished in a complete and timely manner.
• The individual must maintain safe work practices in support of the OSHA Health & Safety and NFPA 70e standards as it applies when performing the assigned duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years of experience in maintaining similar type and size commercial equipment, along with a current Universal CFC certification
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
• Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.
• Valid Driver's license and able to maintain a good driving record.
• Ability to stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, move and carry material up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at extended heights.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). i.e., but not limited to, Dust mask, gloves, eye protection and hearing protection.
