Job summary

Perfection Group is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose and repair complex HVAC and refrigeration systems for customers south of Nashville, TN and into the Huntsville area. You will handle a broad range of equipment and provide high-quality service while supporting team growth.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting chillers, boilers, rooftops, and controls, traveling within the service area, and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of commercial/industrial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• Attended an accredited HVAC technical or trade-school program.
• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.
• Strong diagnostic and communication skills with customers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment including chillers, boilers, RTUs, split systems, and heat pumps.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls issues.
• Identify repairs, obtain parts, and calibrate equipment as per manufacturer specs.
• Explain conditions, repair needs, and recommended solutions to customers clearly.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Travel to customer locations throughout Nashville and the Middle Tennessee service area.
• Coordinate with dispatch and communicate scheduling changes promptly.
• Document service calls and resolutions using company software.
• Participate in rotating emergency on-call schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, vehicle, tools, and equipment.
• Participate in company- and vendor-provided training and share knowledge.

About this position

Perfection Group is hiring a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our growing team and customers south of Nashville, TN and into the Huntsville area.

We're looking for an experienced technician who can independently diagnose complex equipment issues, communicate confidently with customers, and deliver safe, high-quality solutions. You'll work on a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC systems while helping support the continued growth and development of the team.

• Paid drive time, a company vehicle, major tools, and continued technical training are provided.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, and heat pumps
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues
• Identify necessary repairs, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate equipment according to manufacturer recommendations
• Explain equipment conditions, repair needs, and recommended solutions clearly to customers
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
• Travel to customer locations throughout Nashville and the Middle Tennessee service area
• Coordinate with dispatch and communicate scheduling changes or delays promptly
• Document service calls and resolutions accurately using company software and applications
• Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule, including nights and weekends
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, company vehicle, tools, and assigned equipment
• Participate in company- and vendor-provided training
• Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to less-experienced technicians

You May Be a Great Fit If You

• Have five to seven years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience
• Possess strong hands-on knowledge of chillers, boilers, rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment
• Understand commercial HVAC, electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls systems
• Diagnose complex problems accurately and develop practical, effective solutions
• Work confidently and independently while remaining connected and accountable to the team
• Communicate clearly, consistently, and professionally with customers, dispatch, leadership, and teammates
• Build trust through technical expertise, sound judgment, and dependable follow-through
• Take ownership of your schedule, documentation, vehicle, tools, and customer commitments

• Hold a Universal EPA Section 608 certification
