Job summary

R. Brooks Mechanical in Maryland is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to diagnose and repair complex heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems for commercial clients.

You will work on RTUs, split systems, heat pumps, and more, performing routine maintenance and collaborating with building automation systems. A valid driver's license and 4+ years of HVAC service experience are required; the company offers medical, retirement, PTO, and a company vehicle.

• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues on commercial systems including RTUs, split systems, heat pumps, VRF/VRV systems, air handlers, and exhaust systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment, including filter changes, coil cleaning, lubrication, belt replacement, and refrigerant checks.
• Work with DDC and BAS systems (e.g., Trane, Johnson Controls, Honeywell) to adjust setpoints, troubleshoot alarms, and verify control sequences.

Skills
