Carrier is seeking a Commercial HVAC Apprentice Service Technician for the Rayville, LA area. You will perform field service work, diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, installations, and calibrations, while delivering solutions customers can rely on.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to push/pull/lift 50lbs.
• Stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods; climb ladders and work on rooftops.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• 1+ year of HVAC/R experience or education.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain air-conditioning and HVAC systems for efficient operation.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units.
• Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment including thermostatic controls.
• Service refrigeration equipment including refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps.
• Maintain chilled and hot water systems and adjust internal control systems.
• Assemble and install metal ductwork and assist in HVAC system design.
