Job summary

Cortez Heating & Air is seeking a Commercial HVAC Sales Consultant in Central Florida to drive revenue by consulting with commercial customers, assessing needs, and closing sales. You will align with operations to ensure accurate recommendations and a positive customer experience.

This role demands strong technical knowledge of HVAC/R systems, proven consultative selling skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC/R sales or commercial HVAC/R industry experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems.
• Proven experience in consultative or solutions-based sales.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical customers.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.
• Experience with commercial DX systems, air cooled chillers, boilers, or industrial systems.
• Experience selling service agreements and maintenance contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with commercial and industrial customers.
• Identify new sales opportunities by targeting new customers.
• Conduct site visits to assess HVAC system needs; Recommend solutions based on customer operations, system condition, efficiency, and budget.
• Clearly explain technical concepts, pricing, and scope of work.
• Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and service agreements.
• Support contract negotiations and close sales in alignment with company standards.
• Partner with service, installation, and project management teams to ensure accurate handoff.
• Assist with job scoping, scheduling, and customer communication.
• Support issue resolution to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Manage sales pipeline and activity through CRM/ATS systems.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and performance goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and opportunities.
