Americold, Inc. invites applications for a Regular Full Time Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration Technician based in Washington, DC.

The role involves operating a company vehicle to troubleshoot, maintain and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment at customer sites. Candidates should have 3–5 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently; EPA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• 3-5 years of related experience.
• Own industry’s standard hand tools.
• Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters.
• Able to travel extensively within the region.
• On-call rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Mechanically inclined with a desire to learn new techniques.
• Previous experience as a commercial HVAC and Refrigeration technician required.
• Universal EPA certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Inspects equipment and components to ensure safe operation.
• Communicates with customer and staff on repair status and delays.
• Completes service tickets according to procedures.
• Tracks truck stock to ensure parts are available.
• Maintains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to standards.
• Sets a positive example for less experienced technicians.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
