Job description

Job Overview

The Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician provides service and repair for commercial cooking equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC and refrigeration commercial kitchen equipment.
2. Communicate the status of repairs with customers and the branch office.
3. Accurately complete service calls in a timely manner.
4. Monitor truck stock to ensure required parts are available.
5. Maintain the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to meet Whaley quality standards.
6. Meet reasonable on-call requirements.
7. Coordinate with the branch office to order parts for repairs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A 'Safety First' mindset.
• At least three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair, including refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• HVAC Journeyman certification.
• Strong electrical, HVAC/R, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets safety standards.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to complete required paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
