Job summary

Total Comfort Group is seeking a Commercial HVACR Field Service Specialist to diagnose and repair commercial HVAC/R systems across diverse sites. You will perform preventive maintenance and tune-ups to maximize uptime on RTUs, splits, package units, heat pumps, and air handlers.

You’ll interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams, troubleshoot electrical and control issues, conduct startup and commissioning, and document readings for customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Familiarity with RTUs, splits, package units, heat pumps, air handlers.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC/R systems across diverse sites.

A day in the life at Total Comfort GroupYour morning begins with a quick pre-trip check of your company vehicle and a glance at the day’s service calls on your company-issued phone. First stop: a rooftop unit that’s short-cycling. You review the wiring diagram, verify airflow, trace a control signal, and bring the system back online. Midday, you complete a preventive maintenance tune-up on a split system—filters, belts, refrigerant levels, and a full operational test. Before the afternoon wraps, you commission a newly installed package unit, document readings, and walk the customer through findings and next steps.
