Job summary

Benedict Sales & Service, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Service Technician HVAC-R to maintain, repair, and install a range of commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and kitchen equipment. This role is exclusively commercial with travel between job sites and on-call requirements.

The ideal candidate has EPA Universal Certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work a non-standard schedule in a fast-paced environment while upholding safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum one year of related refrigeration/HVAC experience required, two years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies commercial mechanical equipment.
• Reads and understands technical drawings to repair/maintain equipment.
• Troubleshoots complex problems when repairs aren’t obvious.
• Maintains inventory of replacement parts and orders replacements.
• Uses a computerized management system to record work progress and history.
• Collects payment for necessary services prior to service and directs payments to appropriate personnel.
• Sets and achieves individual goals and supports department goals as part of a team.
• Operates and maintains a company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
• Demonstrates professionalism and effective communication with customers and teammates.
• Complies with all safety standards.
