Job summary

Northern Arizona Refrigeration (NAR) in the Greater Phoenix area is hiring Commercial HVAC/R Service Technicians to service convenience store and commercial customers. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a range of HVAC and refrigeration equipment with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.

3–5 years of relevant experience is preferred, EPA Universal certification is required, and a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of commercial HVAC/R service experience (trade school training preferred).
• EPA Universal required; OSHA 10 or NATE preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a federally compliant drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems for convenience store & commercial clients.
• Work on RTUs, split systems, walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, and related controls.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency service calls; diagnose system faults.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and internal teams.
• Complete accurate service tickets and documentation daily.
• Maintain safety procedures and a professional jobsite presence.

What You’ll Do

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems for convenience store clients
• Work on equipment such as RTUs, split systems, walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, and related controls
• Perform scheduled maintenance, emergency service calls, and system diagnostics
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and internal team members

• Follow safety procedures, company standards, and customer site requirements
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and a professional jobsite presence
• Participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed
