Total Mechanical Service is hiring an HVAC, refrigeration, and cooking equipment technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial equipment at customer locations. PM inspections, emergency calls, and maintaining vehicles are part of the role.

The ideal candidate has experience with cooking, refrigeration, or HVAC systems and strong electrical/mechanical skills. Background checks and drug screens are required; on-call rotations apply.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing cooking, refrigeration, or HVAC equipment (or related military experience).
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills.
• Effective customer communication skills.
• Must be 18+ and have driving record compliant with safety standards.
• Background check and drug screen completion.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Provide respectful, professional customer service.
• Complete service calls promptly and accurately.
• Communicate effectively with customers, managers, dispatchers, and sales.
• Participate in on-call rotation and route coverage.

Overview

Total Mechanical Service is hiring an HVAC, Refrigeration& CookingEquipment Technician responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial kitchen & refrigeration equipment at our customer locations. Our technicians also provide preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and respond to emergency service calls on equipment including ovens, fryers, steamers, warmers, dish cleaning equipment, walk-ins, and ice machines.

Essential Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair Cooking, Refrigeration, & HVAC Equipment
• Treat customers and employees with respect, courtesy, and professionalism
• Complete service calls promptly
• Communicate effectively with customers, managers, dispatchers, and sales
• Participate in on-call rotation schedule
• Identify new customers and additional opportunities within existing accounts
• Maintain Service Vehicle
• Order Parts and Complete Required Paperwork
• Attend Training Sessions
• Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience cooking, refrigeration, or HVAC equipment service (or related military) experience
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills
• Effective customer communication skills
• 100% dedication to working hard, being on time, and staying organized
• Maintain a professional personal appearance
• Completion of a successful background check and drug screen.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Driving record must align with our safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Fryers, Ovens, Steamers, Ranges, Broilers, Ware Wash, Walk‑ins, coolers, freezers, ice machines, prep tables, etc.
• CFESA certification and related Training
• EPA Universal Certification,
• Computer literate
