Job summary

Total Mechanical Service is seeking an HVAC, Refrigeration and Cooking Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment at customer sites. Responsibilities include PM inspections and responding to emergency service calls for ovens, fryers, steamers, walk-ins, ice machines, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with cooking, refrigeration, or HVAC service.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills.
• Effective customer communication skills.
• Must be 18+ years of age and meet driving safety standards.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Treat customers and employees with respect and professionalism.
• Complete service calls promptly and accurately.
• Communicate with customers, managers, dispatchers, and sales.
• Participate in on-call rotation schedule.
• Identify new customers and opportunities within existing accounts.
• Maintain service vehicle and order parts.
• Complete required paperwork and attend training sessions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview

Total Mechanical Service is hiring an HVAC, Refrigeration& CookingEquipment Technician responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial kitchen & refrigeration equipment at our customer locations. Our technicians also provide preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and respond to emergency service calls on equipment including ovens, fryers, steamers, warmers, dish cleaning equipment, walk-ins, and ice machines.

Essential Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair Cooking, Refrigeration, & HVAC Equipment
• Treat customers and employees with respect, courtesy, and professionalism
• Complete service calls promptly
• Communicate effectively with customers, managers, dispatchers, and sales
• Participate in on-call rotation schedule
• Identify new customers and additional opportunities within existing accounts
• Maintain Service Vehicle
• Order Parts and Complete Required Paperwork
• Attend Training Sessions
• Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience cooking, refrigeration, or HVAC equipment service (or related military) experience
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills
• Effective customer communication skills
• 100% dedication to working hard, being on time, and staying organized
• Maintain a professional personal appearance
• Completion of a successful background check and drug screen.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Driving record must align with our safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Fryers, Ovens, Steamers, Ranges, Broilers, Ware Wash, Walk-ins, coolers, freezers, ice machines, prep tables, etc.
• CFESA certification and related Training
• EPA Universal Certification,
• Computer literate
