Job summary

RSC Mechanical is hiring experienced Refrigeration Service Technicians to install, maintain and service commercial cooling and HVAC equipment across multiple sites. You will handle walk-ins, racks, and ice machines, with preferred CO2 rack system experience. Expect travel, emergency calls, and strong customer interaction.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; frequent driving.
• Experience or knowledge of HVAC and commercial refrigeration is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately and timely.
• Excellent communication with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and service commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment including walk-ins, reach-ins, racks, and ice machines.
• Handle CO2 refrigeration rack systems, including transcritical and subcritical configurations.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control systems with precision.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems.
• Prioritize safety and identify root causes of failures.
• Safely handle refrigerants in line with EPA regulations.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Repair/replace compressors, motors, fans and other components.
• Provide professional service during emergencies and visits.
• Work with EMS systems (CPC, Tracer, HMI).
• Coordinate with customers, dispatch, and technicians for seamless service.
• Log service reports via mobile/digital platforms.
• Maintain professional communication with store managers and teams.
• Complete tickets and timesheets accurately and on time.
• Deliver high-level customer service to retail and commercial clients.
