Job summary

RSC Mechanical is seeking experienced Refrigeration Service Technicians to join our team. We offer long-term career stability and a culture that values growth and teamwork.

You will install, maintain, and service commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment, with emphasis on CO2 rack systems, and respond to emergency service calls while ensuring safety and quality service for a wide range of clients across the U.S.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; extensive driving is a key part of the role.
• Experience and working knowledge of HVAC and commercial refrigeration preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and service commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Preferred hands-on experience with CO2 refrigeration rack systems.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control systems with confidence and precision.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems.
• Prioritize safety by securing work areas and identifying root causes.
• Handle refrigerants safely per EPA regulations.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
• Repair and replace compressors, motors, fans, and other components.
• Provide professional service during emergency calls.
• Work with EMS systems, including CPC, Tracer, and HMI.
• Collaborate with customers, dispatch, and technicians for seamless service.
• Accurately log service reports using mobile platforms.
• Communicate professionally with store managers and team members.
• Complete paperwork on time.
• Deliver high-level customer service to retail and commercial clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install,maintain, and servicecommercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including walk-ins, reach-ins, rack systems, and ice machines.
• Preferred hands-on experience with CO₂ refrigeration rack systems, including transcritical and subcritical systems.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed
• Troubleshootelectrical, mechanical, and control systemswith confidence and precision.
• Perform repairs andpreventative maintenanceon commercial refrigeration systems.
• Prioritize safety by securing work areas, shutting down power when necessary, andidentifyingtheroot cause of system failures.
• Handle and manage refrigerants safely in compliance withEPA regulations.
• Read and interprettechnical diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
• Repair and replace compressors, motors, fans, and other critical components.
• Provide professional and reliable service duringemergency service calls.
• Work withEMS systems, including CPC, Tracer, and HMI.
• Collaborate with customers, dispatch, and fellow technicians to ensure aseamless service experience.
• Accurately log service reports usingmobile and digital platforms.
• Communicate professionally with store managers, supervisors, and team members.
• Complete all required paperwork, includingwork tickets and timesheets, accurately and on time.
• Deliver high-level customer service to retail and commercial clients, includingrestaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, schools, hotels, hospitals, and military bases.
• Performadditionalduties asassigned by management.

• Able to work under pressure in fast-paced or high-stress environments
• Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
• Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, mechanical/electrical hazards, and weather
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, crouch, and occasionally climb stairs or ladders
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent driving of motor vehicles

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Overtime may be required based on workload
• Participation in an on-call rotation following the training period. Must be available and responsive during assigned on-call shifts.
