Job summary

Kelso Industries seeks HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technicians for Utah operations. This full-time field role focuses on maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC systems across diverse building types.

You will perform scheduled maintenance, diagnose issues, and document service findings, ensuring safety and quality. Eligible candidates bring 1+ year in HVAC maintenance or service, a solid grasp of HVAC systems and electrical/mechanical components, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC training or certification preferred.
• 1+ years experience in HVAC Maintenance or Service.
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communicator with customer service instincts.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep systems running efficiently.
• Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues across HVAC platforms.
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer docs.
• Report findings and suggested next steps to clients and team.
• Maintain service records of work, parts, and system conditions.
• Ensure all work complies with safety codes and company policy.

About This Role

What You'll Do

• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep systems running efficiently and extend equipment life.
• Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues across a range of HVAC platforms.
• Read and work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
• Keep clients and team members informed on service findings and recommended next steps.
• Maintain thorough service records covering work completed, parts used, and system conditions.
• Perform all work in compliance with safety standards, applicable codes, and company policy.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC technical training or certification preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in an HVAC Maintenance or Service role.
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• NATE certification or equivalent.
