Job summary

Automated Mechanical in Utah is hiring HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technicians for our Utah operations. This full-time field role maintains commercial and industrial HVAC systems across diverse buildings. You will perform scheduled maintenance, read diagrams, and communicate findings to clients.

We seek candidates with 1+ year HVAC service experience, blueprints literacy, and strong diagnostic skills. EPA 608 preferred; valid license and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC training or certification preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in an HVAC Maintenance or Service role.
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communicator with customer service instincts.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep systems running efficiently and extend equipment life.
• Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues across a range of HVAC platforms.
• Read and work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
• Keep clients and team members informed on service findings and recommended next steps.
• Maintain thorough service records covering work completed, parts used, and system conditions.
• Perform all work in compliance with safety standards, applicable codes, and company policy.
