Job summary

Kelso Industries seeks an experienced HVAC Technician to join our service team for commercial systems across large facilities. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and optimization with safety as a priority.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, and strong electrical troubleshooting. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required for on-site work across rooftops and mechanical rooms.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Universal Certification is required.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting across low/high voltage.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a variety of commercial HVAC equipment including chillers, RTUs, AHUs, VRF systems, and more.
• Commission and start up commercial HVAC equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance.
• Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, and supporting equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
• Keep accurate, timely documentation of all service work, repairs, and recommendations.
• Communicate clearly with customers about system conditions, findings, and next steps.

Job Summary

We're looking for experienced HVAC Technicians with expertise in commercial systems to join our service team. In this role, you'll handle complex diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and system optimization across large commercial and industrial facilities. The right candidate brings strong technical instincts, a safety-first mindset, and a track record of delivering quality service.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a variety of commercial HVAC equipment including chillers, RTUs, AHUs, VRF systems, and more.
• Commission and start up commercial HVAC equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance.
• Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, and supporting equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
• Keep accurate, timely documentation of all service work, repairs, and recommendations.
• Communicate clearly with customers about system conditions, findings, and next steps.
• Adhere to all safety requirements, EPA standards, and internal company policies.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior technicians when applicable.

Required Qualifications

• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• 3 or more years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting capability across both low and high voltage systems.
• Comfortable working independently with limited oversight.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces.
