Job summary

Kelso Industries is seeking a skilled HVAC technician for a commercial retrofit project in Aspen, CO. The role focuses on upgrading and replacing building systems to improve energy efficiency and meet code requirements.

You will install VRF systems, read blueprints, run low-voltage wiring, and coordinate with on-site teams to keep the project on schedule. Compensation up to $42/hour plus benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience.
• Proficiency with VRF systems and commercial workloads.
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and manufacturer docs.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve installation challenges.
• EPA Universal certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove and replace commercial heating and cooling equipment.
• Install VRF and other modern systems with advanced building controls.
• Run low-voltage control wiring and rough-in work.
• Assist with light sheet metal fabrication and installation.
• Follow applicable codes and regulations.
• Communicate with customers on-site and explain work.
• Collaborate with crew to keep projects on schedule.
