Job summary

CaptiveAire Systems, Inc. is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician to commission, service, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems in the Austin area.

You will test equipment, troubleshoot issues, interpret schematics, and perform preventive maintenance while communicating clearly with facility managers and team members. Requires a minimum of 2 years hands-on HVAC experience, a clean driver’s license, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience servicing commercial HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning CaptiveAire equipment and verifying operation.
• Service and repair of commercial HVAC/R systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Diagnose complex system issues from schematics and manuals.
• Communicate system status and recommended repairs to managers/owners.
• Adhere to EPA regulations and safety standards.
