Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Boston, MA, is seeking a Director/Senior Director, Human Resources, Commercial to partner with Sales and Marketing leadership.

The role focuses on translating commercial priorities into people, talent, and organizational strategies to drive commercialization and long-term growth. The successful candidate will lead the Commercial HR team, advance launch readiness, and ensure alignment between HR deliverables and market objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and/or HR certification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive HRBP/HR leadership in biotech or life sciences.
• Experience supporting Commercial organizations through a product launch.
• Experience guiding organizations through rapid growth and evolution.
• Experience in small- to mid-sized biotech/pharma companies.
• Strong business acumen and cross-functional awareness.
• Excellent influencing, coaching, collaboration, and relationships.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced environments with ambiguity.
• Professionalism, judgment, and executive presence.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR partnership to Commercial leadership across Sales and Marketing.
• Lead hiring strategy to build a 100+ person Sales org and onboarding.
• Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management.
• Lead Launch Readiness HR activities and align with Commercial priorities.
• Utilize data-driven insights to identify organizational risks and opportunities.
• Support leadership through growth, change, and launch readiness.
