Job summary
Xenon Pharmaceuticals in Needham/Boston, MA, is seeking a Director/Senior Director, Human Resources, Commercial to serve as the primary HR Business Partner to Sales & Marketing leadership. The role translates commercial priorities into people, talent, and organizational strategies to support commercialization.
You will lead build-out of Xenon’s Sales and Marketing organizations, advise on structure, workforce planning, leadership capability, and readiness, and oversee Launch Readiness activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or HR certification preferred.
- 10 years of progressive HR Business Partner/leadership experience in biotech or life sciences.
- Experience supporting Commercial through product launches and during rapid growth.
- Strong business acumen with influencing, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced environments with ambiguity and change.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic HR partnership to Commercial leadership across Sales and Marketing.
- Lead sales hiring strategy to build ~100-person Sales organization; drive onboarding and retention.
- Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management initiatives.
- Support organizational effectiveness, culture, engagement, and performance management.
- Act as liaison for Launch Readiness activities, aligning HR with commercialization timelines.
