Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated, high-performing Commercial Garage Door Installer / Lead Technician with 4+ years of proven industry experience. In this position, you will serve as the face of DGO Access, diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, performing top-tier installations, and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty commercial door systems.

Responsibilities:

• Installation & Repair: Expertly install, diagnose, service, and maintain high-speed doors, rolling steel doors, sectional commercial doors, rolling grilles, and associated commercial hardware.
• Troubleshooting: Accurately layout door systems and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on a wide variety of commercial brands and entry mechanisms.
• Code & Safety Compliance: Ensure every installation and repair strictly complies with manufacturer standards, local building codes, and safety protocols.
• Customer Interaction: Act as a technical expert on-site—explaining issues to clients clearly, offering practical solutions, and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Field Efficiency: Manage on-site tools, material inventories, and job documentation while maintaining safe, clean job sites across scheduled routes.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in commercial garage door installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of commercial door types, operators, dynamic mechanics, layout geometry, and power/hand tool operation.
• Physical Capabilities: Ability to continuously lift, move, and maneuver equipment weighing 50+ lbs., along with frequent bending, reaching, and working at heights or in varied weather conditions.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong verbal communication, reliability, and the self-motivation to work independently in the field.

Additional Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required for operating company vehicles).
