Job summary

Podium Finish Carpentry is seeking a skilled commercial finish carpenter in Escondido, CA. You will install millwork, cabinetry, trim, doors, hardware, and fixtures, and read blueprints to ensure precise fit.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of finish carpentry experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work 95% night shifts. The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs and teamwork on fast-paced projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial finish carpentry experience.
• Strong knowledge of millwork, cabinetry, trim, doors, hardware, laminate, FRP, and fixtures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and finish schedules.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and finish carpentry equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Ability and willingness to work 95% night shift work.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial finish carpentry installations, including millwork, cabinetry, countertops, trim, doors, hardware, shelving, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and finish schedules to complete accurate installations.
• Measure, cut, fit, assemble, and install finish materials while maintaining craftsmanship and quality.
• Perform adjustments, repairs, punch-list work, and final finish corrections to ensure project completion.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and finish carpentry equipment.
• Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules and resolve field issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with safety requirements.

Job description

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and finish schedules to complete accurate installations.


• Measure, cut, fit, assemble, and install finish materials while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship and quality.


• Perform adjustments, repairs, punch-list work, and final finish corrections to ensure project completion.
  Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and finish carpentry equipment.


• Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules and resolve field issues.


• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with company and OSHA safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial finish carpentry experience, preferably in commercial construction.


• Strong knowledge of millwork, cabinetry, trim, doors, hardware, laminate, FRP, retail fixtures, and architectural finish installations.


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and finish schedules.


• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and finish carpentry equipment.


• Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and time-management skills.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.


• Ability and willingness to work 95% night shift work, including overnight schedules.


• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces.

Travel Requirement: This position requires extensive travel and an on-site presence throughout the duration of assigned projects.
