Dinsmore is seeking a Commercial Finance Paralegal to join our Indianapolis, IN team, supporting multiple attorneys in fast-paced lending transactions including HUD-insured and conventional loans.

The role involves drafting, reviewing, and organizing closing documents, conducting due diligence, and coordinating with lenders and title companies to ensure timely closings. Strong attention to detail and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in commercial finance or real estate transactions.
• Produce high-quality billable work with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Professional, discreet and able to work with clients and counsel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and manage HUD and conventional loan documentation.
• Analyze due diligence materials such as corporate documents and UCC searches.
• Draft closing checklists, certificates, resolutions, and closing instructions.
• Coordinate closings with lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel.
• Review title commitments, surveys, and prepare title/survey summaries.
• Review corporate and organizational documents.
• Prepare and organize closing binders and post-closing documents.
• Conduct UCC filings and maintain filing records.
• Proofread and format legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Support attorneys with transaction management from term sheet to closing.
• Perform due diligence and manage closing checklists under supervision.

Dinsmore is seeking a Commercial Finance Paralegal to join our Commercial Finance practice group at our Indianapolis, IN location. The ideal candidate will support multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment handling a wide variety of commercial lending transactions, including HUD-insured (HUD) loans, conventional loans, and other complex secured lending matters.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, reviewing, and managing documentation related to HUD and conventional loan transactions
• Reviewing and analyzing due diligence materials including corporate documents, organizational charts, and UCC searches
• Drafting loan closing checklists, certificates, resolutions, closing instructions, and ancillary loan documents
• Coordinating with lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel to ensure timely and efficient closings
• Reviewing title commitments, surveys, and exception documents, and preparing title and survey summaries
• Reviewing corporate documents and organizational documents
• Preparing and organizing closing binders and post-closing documentation
• Conducting UCC filings and maintaining thorough records of all filings and documents
• Proofreading and formatting legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Supporting attorneys with ongoing transaction management, from term sheet to closing
• Performing legal due diligence and managing closing checklists under attorney supervision
• Maintaining and tracking closing calendars and deliverables

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in commercial finance or real estate transactions
• Ability to produce high-quality, billable work with exceptional attention to detail
